Much of Lolita wear originates from Japan, but in 2005, Vivien Hoffpauir changed all that by launching her Line Candy Violet in the U.S. Graduating from the Birmingham Institute of Art & Design in 2001, she implemented her learning and keen sense of design and eventually created her first clothing line Gaijin Geisha, later called Cute Salad. From there she created her current brand we see here. Vivian has a great love for all things Victorian and her website is delightful. Scarlet, your Wicked Wears mistress says you must go have a peek! Her designs became poplular and she was featured in several fashion magazines focusing on Lolita and Gothic wear, such as Shojo Beat and the wonderful Gothic & Lolita Bible–first edition presented in the English language! She can make anything you want in any size you need. All you do is contact her for assistance and you’ll be on your way to looking smart in your new garb. By the way her brand name stems from the Victorian confection consisting of violets covered with sugar!
